I’m an enterprise reporter for The New Bedford Light, a nonprofit news site in New Bedford, Massachusetts. My stories for The Light have revealed risky pandemic relief spending, uncovered how private investors profited from tax foreclosures, and mapped lead pipes in thousands of local homes. My data-driven investigation into New Bedford’s high overdose death rate was cited in the New York Times Magazine.
Before I started at The Light, I was a fellow for WBUR in Boston, where I contributed public records reporting to award-winning police misconduct investigations. I was previously a FOIA intern at the internet-focused news site The Daily Dot, where I wrote about how school districts were hiding the costs of ransomware attacks. For GBH News in Boston, I contributed to an investigation showing that people were losing their homes to a program targeting blighted properties.
I graduated summa cum laude from Boston University in 2022 with a bachelor’s degree in journalism. While in college, I led the campus news team at WTBU, the university’s student radio station.
