I’m a student at Boston University, majoring in journalism with a minor in political science. My expected graduation is May, 2022.
I’m the campus news editor for WTBU News, a show on BU’s student radio station. I also sometimes write for the Cambridge Chronicle, the local paper of Cambridge, Massachusetts. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I’m doing all this remotely from my home in Salt Lake City, Utah.
In the past, I’ve produced episodes of the Common Thread Podcast, a student program at BU’s Howard Thurman Center for Common Ground. My photos have appeared in the Cambridge Chronicle and Boston University News Service. I’ve written and presented brief video segments on top headlines for BUTV10, BU’s student TV station.
My favorite beat is education. I’ve covered School Committee meetings for the Cambridge Chronicle, and I’ve covered campus news for WTBU. On my Twitter I
obsessively post updates about how BU and other colleges are responding to COVID-19. I’ve pointed out inconsistencies in BU’s communication and drawn attention to important information that was not widely disseminated.
